Dr. Bernhard A. Boehler
Founder and Director
Dr. Bernhard A. Boehler is a renowned art historian, curator and art advisor with a proven track record as a museum professional. He has fifteen years of international work experience in art museums and more than twenty-five years of cumulative experience in the art world and field of cultural heritage protection. He held executive positions such as Director of the Cathedral and Diocesan Museum in Vienna, Austria, and was responsible for collections spanning over a thousand years (Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Nineteenth-Century and Modern Art). He also worked at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City (Director’s Office and Curatorial).
With a free spirit and global perspective, he now acts as independent curator and art advisor providing advisory and appraisal services par excellence, especially professional advice on researching, sourcing, valuing and exhibiting blue-chip, museum quality art, to clients who require expert knowledge, efficiency and discretion at the highest levels. Guidance on authentication and attribution is offered based on interprofessional collaborative practice.
As a certified appraiser and an active member of International Fine Art Appraisers (IFAA), he is presented by this New York City-based organization as follows:

Holding a doctorate in art history from the University of Vienna, he was awarded for his studies and research by the Austrian Federal Minister for Science and Art and the federal state Salzburg.
Dr. Bernhard A. Boehler is a socially active person with a passion for human learning and education. Identifying himself with the ethos of tolerance and dialogue, his mission has always been the fostering of civilizational communication through arts and cultural heritage initiatives. Currently, he serves as President of the Vienna-based charitable association Save Cultural Identity, a project for the rescue, preservation and presentation of art and culture endangered in times of political crisis.
